Payment, Refund, & Cancellation Policy
Payment and Reservations
Prompt Payment Reserves Your Camper's Space
If you choose to send a check by mail, we will hold your slot for two weeks from the date of your invoice, plus an additional grace period if your slot remains available thereafter. If there is a waitlist, your space will go to the next person after the two week hold.
Wait lists
Registration is limited and is first-come-first-served. If a session you want is full, it is recommended that you join the wait list. Wait lists often do move, and we fill empty spaces up to the session start date.
Payment Plans
You can schedule your own payment plan during checkout at no additional cost. Please note: Late payments may result in loss of your space on the roster. Please refer to your emailed invoice or contact us directly for payment questions/instructions.
Refund Policy and Cancellation/Change Fees
You can cancel at any time by logging in to your account via the Family Portal. Access your reservations by clicking "Registration" in the drop-down menu, then click the session you'd like to cancel. The cancellation link is at the bottom of the page. IMPORTANT: Please take note of the following fees and policies:
30+ Days Before Camp Start
Cancellation or session changes 30+ days prior to the first affected camp week’s start date will receive a refund for paid registration less 25% for processing and administration.
Fewer than 30 Days Before Camp Start
Cancellations or session changes made fewer than 30 days before the start of the affected camp week will receive a credit for the amount paid, minus a 25% processing and administrative fee.
Credits are:
Non-transferable (they may only be used by the original camper),
Valid only through December 31 of the same calendar year (unused credits expire at midnight), and
One-time use only — once a new session is booked using a credit, that session cannot be changed, rescheduled, or refunded.
Fewer than 14 days - No refunds or credits.
Refunds are not available less than 14 days prior to the first affected session start date.
Switching Weeks
We understand that summer plans can shift. The Refund Policy and Cancellation Fees above apply for switching weeks. To see the list of currently available dates, check the "Explore Sessions" link in your account using the Family Portal before cancelling the week(s) you want to drop.
Attendance Policy
There are no refunds for missed camp days and programs.
Health Related
There are no refunds for camper illness. If camp is cancelled due to government-mandated health measures (i.e. COVID-19), refunds will be issued less 25% in processing and administrative fees. Alternately customers can opt to receive full credit for a future Lure of the Wild camp offering valid through one year from the originally scheduled session or program date.
Weather Related
Camp operates rain or shine. We do not issue refunds due to weather-related cancellations or closures. See our weather policy for more details.
