Get Outside, Get Free Camp!
The Lure of the Wild 100 Hours Outside Challenge is a simple invitation for kids to spend more time outside doing what kids do best: playing, exploring, building, wandering, creating, and figuring out what to do next.
No lessons. No organized activities. No agenda.
Just 100 hours of kid-led outdoor play between now and May 31.
Every hour counts. Every ten hours, kids draw or write about one of their favorite outdoor moments and send it to us.
Finish all 100 hours and your child will receive $50 off one week of camp and be entered to win a FREE week at Lure of the Wild Nature Camp!
How it Works
1. Get Outside
Print the challenge sheet and start playing. Color in one box for every hour spent outside. The focus is kid-led free play, whether kids are roaming with friends, building something, exploring the woods, inventing a game, digging in the yard, or simply figuring out what to do with themselves.
2. Every 10 Hours, Tell Us About It
Once you reach ten hours, use the big blank space on your sheet to draw or write about your favorite outdoor moment. Have a parent email the completed page to us (on the challenge sheet). Then print another copy and start on your next ten hours.
3. Reach 100 Hours
Complete and submit 10 challenge pages by May 31 and your child will receive $50 off one week of camp and be entered into a drawing for A FREE WEEK OF SUMMER CAMP!
Each child may earn one $50 discount. One winner will receive one full week of Lure of the Wild Nature Camp at no charge.

What Counts?
This challenge is about giving kids more time for unstructured, kid-led outdoor play.
Think: Roaming. Exploring. Building. Creating. Digging. Wandering. Making up games. Hanging out with friends. Getting bored and figuring out what comes next.
The point isn’t to fill another hour with an adult-planned activity. The point is to give the hour back to the kid.
Ready?
You’ve got until May 31 to reach 100. Print your first sheet, head outside, and start counting.
Days of discovery and adventure await!
