Response Based on AQI Levels

Green and Yellow Zones (AQI <101)

Camp operates normally. Staff monitor children with known respiratory conditions following that camper's physician-approved Asthma Action Plan.

Orange Zone (AQI 101-150)

Camp operates normally. Families of children with asthma or other respiratory conditions should use their judgment. Staff monitor children with known respiratory conditions following the camper's physician-approved Asthma Action Plan.

Red Zone (AQI 151-200)

AQI rarely reaches 150+. If this happens, camp operates as norma, and activities are adjusted to be less physically exerting.
Use of N95 or equivalent particulate filtering masks is encouraged, but not required. We cannot guarantee that an individual child will keep a mask properly fitted throughout the day, and families should consider their child’s health, comfort, and ability to wear a mask when deciding whether to attend.

Purple Zone (AQI 201+)

It is historically extreemely rare, but when AQI is above 200 activities may be temporarily moved indoors nearby. If conditions persist and a suitable space is not available, camp may be canceled.

There are no refunds for absences, cancellations, or closures related to air quality conditions.
